If You Were Me and Lived in France by lauded children’s author Carole P. Lombard takes young readers on an exciting adventure to France. This is a charming children’s series that does well to expose young minds to varying cultures.

The series centers on teaching young readers about other international locales and cultures, and this particular book introduces readers to life in France. Laced with colorful illustrations and featuring friendly faces readers are taken on a tour of life in France. The book skillfully presents aspects of French life like shopping, foods, restaurants eating, sports, holidays with a pronunciation key included to help with the unfamiliar words presented throughout the book.

This was an enjoyable book and I think this book, as well as the others in the series would make a great addition to any young reader’s ages 3-8 library.
