The Black Stiletto: Stars & Stripes by Raymond Benson

The Black Stiletto: Stars & StripesReviewed by Julie Moderson

I love Black Stiletto books. Raymond Benson makes them so enjoyable to read and so believable that I just looked it up again to see if the Black Stiletto was real.

The black stiletto was a crime fighter in the late 50’s and early 60’s. She jumped from roof top to roof top and was highly trained in her fighting techniques and learned more from her friend Billy. She works in President Kennedy’s campaign office and gets to be one of Kennedy’s Girls.

Benson writes his books with many stories within a story. This book has the Black Stiletto story, then and now, with Martin trying to keep too many secrets and Judy Cooper’s relationship with her son and granddaughter. He ends in a way that leads the reader to believe there will be another new book. This is the third diary so who knows how many more there are. Lots I hope!
