BOOK REVIEW: MIDNIGHT CLEAR
It is almost time for the Christmas Holidays. Callahan Garrity is in for a surprise but it is not a present. Her brother, Brian, arrived along with his three year old daughter. Callahan has not seen Brian in ten years and it always spelled trouble when he was around.
Callahan's mother, Edna was delighted to see her "baby boy" back home. The last time she saw him was ten year's ago when he arrived out of nowhere for his father's funeral.
Brian is really in for some trouble this time because he illegally abducted his daughter. He stated that he left his wife because she was running around on him.
When Brian's former wife is found murdered, the police come looking for Brian.
Did Brian murder his former wife? Callahan and her mother set out to prove Brian did not commit the murder. What do they discover as they start to look into their family tree? Are they successful?
This is the seventh book in the Callahan Garrity series and has to be close to the best one yet. This book will keep you guessing right up to the very end. The author has done an excellent job of combining family ties with plenty of suspense. You will also enjoy the characters, especially Edna who will give you a few laughs. When you read this book, you will want to go back and read the other six in the series. This book is highly recommended.
