John
Harper, is retired from the military and is enjoying spending his
days practicing his occupation as a piano player. When the
government needed a spy that played the piano Harper was recruited
and sent to Panama to play at a New Year's Eve party. It was
soon evident that the resort hotel was a cover for other
activities.
Harper immediately is thrown into the thick of
things and bullets fly. He has narrow escapes and is assisted
by a couple of buddies and the two girls he has met in Panama.
One is a very beautiful bar girl and the other is the daughter of a
Colonel. Both women are very interesting characters and ones
you will like I am sure.
In spite of all the danger and
espionage, breaking and entering, there are many humorous
scenes. Harper's first ride into town is in a vehicle where
the driver sits on a kitchen chair and his buddy sits behind him and
holds the chair steady.
It is my hope that we will see more
John Harper books in the future.
