Do you ever feel like your life is so routine? Do you feel like your life is out of control? If so, this is a book you must read.
The author is an architect and partner in a very busy office. Her days are full of challenges, responsibilities, to-do lists, endless phone calls and several meetings. One night she started to wonder, "Is this really all there is - Is this what my life has amounted to?" Sarah realized that she had to make some changes in her life.
One of the biggest problems people have is that their life is so cluttered with unwanted obligations. It is almost the same as when you look in your closet and see the cluttered mess.
The first step for a person is come up with a "Blueprint for a New Way of Living". We need to remodel the way we are living. To accomplish this goal we need the blueprint along with instructions for putting a plan into place.
Some of the topics covered in this book are: Noticing What Inspires You, Identifying What Isn't Working, Removing the Clutter, Listening to Your Dreams and Learning to See Through the Obstacles just to name a few.
One of the main points made by the author is that we need to slow down. You just might discover that the life you really want has been there all the while. You were just too busy to notice it. We can make some simple shifts in our day that will make a big difference.
This is a must read book for the women who are working, raising a family and trying to keep up with the work at home all at the same time. It is full of practical ideas on how to get your life under control again. I felt the same way about a week before this book came. My day would go by so fast and I just could not get everything done that I wanted to do. Sarah's book has given me some good ideas as to how I can deal with this situation. The book has many exercises and inspiring stories to show us what we need to do in our day to make these changes. This book is highly recommended.
