BOOK REVIEW: FINAL TRUTH: A NOVEL OF SUSPENSE
Lester Ray Barnes is sentenced to die for the rape and murder of a young woman. There appeared to be solid evidence consisting of DNA testing and an eyewitness who placed him at the scene.
Then the unimaginable happened. It had been reported that the DNA testing was fabricated and that a cop had coerced the eyewitness. With no other evidence, the court had no choice but to release Lester Ray Barnes.
Crime writer, Regan Landry, is very interested in Ray's case. This is partially due to the fact that it was her way of staying connected to her late father and she also had an interest in detective work.
Ray, who now wanted some attention, agrees to work with Landry and tell her everything about his experience on death row. However, within one week, Ray disappeared. Things get very interesting when a number of young women are raped and murdered.
What is going on? Did the courts help to free a killer? Is this some kind of copycat crime? Is someone trying to frame Ray?
If you want a novel loaded with suspense, great characters and a fast plot, this is the book for you. This book will keep the reader engrossed in the story. The best part about this book is you will not be able to figure it out until the end. This is the fourth book in Mariah's "Dead" series and they just keep getting better and better. Be sure to add this one to your reading list. It is highly recommended.
