BOOK REVIEW: |
Patricia Sprinkle's second entry in her Family Tree series has just been released.
Sins of the Fathers has Dr. Flo Gadney and Katherine Murray on a very distasteful mission. They are traveling to Bayard Island off the Coast of Georgia. Local real estate mogul, Burch Bayard, has a plan to build McMansions. The question is will these sprawling estates be built over the graves of Dr. Mo Gadney's relatives.
While Katherine and Dr. Flo endeavor to ascertain just who is buried in the cemetery. Local citizens are not extending any of the usual Southern hospitality. One woman actually shoots at them and then is found dead! Will Katherine and Dr. Flo discover the island's secrets buried and unburied...and stay alive to talk about them?
Patricia Sprinkle knows what true Southern hospitality is! She grew up in North Carolina and Florida After graduating from Vassar College, Sprinkle spent a year honing her craft in the Scottish Highlands. Nineteen years later, she has developed a broad audience for her mystery novels. Besides her writing, Patricia Sprinkle is an activist for abused, neglected and deprived children.
If you want to read a good hair raising mystery with more than just a touch of American Southern culture, Sins of the Fathers might be a "comfort" to you!
