BOOK REVIEW: SECRET SERVANT
Gabriel Allon returns, this time searching for the kidnapped daughter of an American diplomat. An extremist Islamic group takes responsibility and demands the release of a prisoner held in an American high security prison.
Allon calls upon the vast experience and skill of the Israeli intelligence community to track the kidnappers and recover the hostage. Readers familiar with this series will not be surprised to discover that he is successful, but Silva always provides a tense ride across Europe with many unanswered ethical questions along the way.
From secret rooms in Jerusalem to crowded Amsterdam markets, to cold snowy beaches in Denmark, to crowded parks and streets in London, to Langley Virginia, and back to Jerusalem, Silva takes the reader on an engrossing ride in and out of dozens of conference rooms.
Silva never disappoints – he’s worth checking out if you are not familiar with his books.
