BOOK REVIEW: HUNG OUT TO DIE
Josie Toadfern grew up feeling very unwanted. Her parents abandoned her and she ended up in an orphanage. Her father's relatives acted like she was dead but her aunt and uncle on her mother's side raised her.
This is the reason Josie was so shocked to receive an invitation to a Thanksgiving dinner at "Mamaw" Toadfern's. She just had to go out of curiosity.
Well, you will never guess who was present at the dinner - Josie's Mom and Dad. Her parents did not have anything to say about what had happened in the past - certainly no apology. They were just interested in their new get rich schmes - and they wanted to forget the past and make a deal. Josie's Uncle Fenwick did not want any part of it. To make matters more interesting, Uncle Fenwick turned up dead. It was believed to be a suicide but the police thought otherwise - a homicide.
Since Josie is a laundress and she is good at cleaning up messes, will she be able to handle this one?
This is an interesting story of what turns out to be a very peculiar family. Josie is a character that comes across as being able to handle her own even after everything she has been through in her life. There are many amusing parts in the story and at the same time it will keep you in suspense. This is a delightful and entertaining read.
