Did you ever accomplish something and then wonder “how” you did it? Many of us do not. We are just happy our goal was achieved.

Dov Seidman states that how we do something is really more important then what you do. Understanding how you did something will lead you to more success.

One of the things Dov Seidman wanted to do is to find Krazy George who started the “Wave” at a game between the New York Yankees and the Oakland Athletics. When you think about it, this was quite a feat to get so many people in a large stadium with limited communication to accomplish a common goal. This gave the author an idea – if only he could get the workplace to act in the spirit of the Wave. Is it possible to get this kind of energy to accomplish business goals?

This book is broken down into four parts – How We Have Been, How We Have Changed, How We Think, How We Behave and How We Govern. The author goes into great detail in each section to explain his theory.

Dov Seidman states that this is a “how” book not a “how-to book”. He explains the difference by saying a how-to book simply provides a set of rules and steps to follow and he does not believe anything in life is that simple. Instead he believes in offering an approach and a type of framework to help you navigate your way through.

The author has written a book that is easy to understand and provides much food for thought. Dov Seidman provides an informative read and one where the thoughts will stay with you long after you finishing reading this book. The next time you do something and accomplish your goal you just might think about “how” you did it instead of focusing on the achievement. This book is a great read for anyone whether you are in business, a student or a stay at home Mom. Be sure to add this book to your reading list.
