The author, Leslie Sansone, is a best-selling fitness expert. She has created this tool for readers to "document walking progress, eating habits, and overall health improvement from a personally customized routine that has been called the simplest weight-loss program ever."
The author starts by giving the reader a thorough explanation as to how to use the journal. One of the items mentioned is called "dreamweaver". This is where the reader will record their dreams. This is necessary because as the author states in order to achieve a dream we have to have some to begin with.
Next is a section called "before" and "after" where the reader can record things like their weight, dress size, blood pressure, cholesterol, etc.
The author's next section is called "The Nutshells". This is where she gives the readers facts on weight loss, diet, exercise and nutrition.
The remainder of the book is the actual journal where the reader will record what they have done each day. Items to be recorded include your walk each day - how far, strength training, multivitamin, hours of sleep, your nutrition center, water log and an interesting item called "A Beautiful Thing". This is included for a person's mental outlook. Here you record something beautiful you see each day. This can be anything that looks beautiful to you.
At the end of the journal is a section called "Four Month Wrap-Up" which is your "I Did It" section. Now you can go back and fill in your "after numbers".
This is an excellent guide for anyone serious about improving his or her health through low-impact exercise. The charting of each day's progress will provide the reader with motivation to continue on to the next day. This guide can be used by itself or you can use it in conjunction with Leslie's Walk Away the Pounds books or videos. This is a simple book to use and will give the reader a great incentive as they go along on their program. This book is highly recommended.
