India
is a successful web designer who enjoys her life in Denver.
Currently she is involved in a long-distance romance with
Jack. Suddenly, India's life changes when her father passes
away. She made a promise to him that she would care for her
mother, Eldora. Since the death of her husband, Eldora is
hitting the "bottle" a little too much.
India now
finds herself back in Colorado Springs with Eldora. Eldora
doesn't drive anymore but she still has her 1957 Thunderbird and
doesn't want to ride in anything but this car. Eldora
comes up with the idea that she and India take a trip to Las Vegas
to look for India's twin sister, Gypsy. Gypsy is an
artist who lives in the mountain towns of New Mexico. It seems
that Gypsy has many problems of her own. She is schizophrenic
but has been on medicine.
What secret is Eldora hiding
about her past? On the other hand, what secret is India hiding
from Eldora?
The trip Eldora and India take down Route 66
proves to be quite interesting. Will the secrets be
revealed?
This is a mezmorizing book. In fact, it is
one of the best I have read in recent months. The author,
Barbara Samuel, includes a great cast of characters and does such an
excellent job of portraying them in their respective roles.
You will be able to picture each character in your mind as you read
about them. This is a terrific book and one that will not bore
you! You should add this one to your reading
list.
