Three
policemen have been murdered in a short period of time. The
killings are all very similar - a policeman shot at close range with
nothing much in the way of evidence left behind.
Who
is responsible for the killings? Is it someone who is trying
to get revenge against the police? Is it someone involved in
drug trafficking? Is there corruption in the police
department?
Inspector Espinosa of Rio de Janiero's
12th precinct is the man in charge of the
investigation. He soon discovers that this is going to be a
difficult case to solve. First of all, he doesn't have much to
go on. To make matters more complicated, the body of a woman
connected to one of the dead cops is found on the sidewalk below her
apartment window. In addition, the wife of a government
official becomes obsessed with the case and with
Espinosa.
Will Inspector Espinosa be successful at solving
these murders?
The author has written a captivating
novel. Right from the very beginning you will feel yourself
plunge into the suspense. This is an excellent whodunit
mystery that will keep you guessing until the very end of the
book. One thing for sure - you will be surprised at the
ending! This one is highly recommended. Be sure to add
it to your reading list.
