BOOK REVIEW: WHEN SATAN WORE A CROSS |
Visualize your local priest giving you the sacraments, listening to your confessions, and teaching your children in the local Catholic school. Now visualize this same priest as a murderer of a Catholic nun. This is the true story that author, Fred Rosen, has brought forward in his new book. He presents how both a city including the police department and the Catholic Diocese kept this priest from being arrested and tried for murder for 23 years.
This is a dark tale of a priest who was able to elude the hands of justice while performing a lie for all those years. Justice is finally served for Sister Margaret Ann Pahl, a dedicated Sister of Mercy. Unfortunately, he was never tried for the other crimes he is alleged to have committed against children in his care.
A frightful story with a sad outcome but a very interesting read.
