BOOK REVIEW: THE VENUS FIX
Can you imagine watching a video and seeing the star of the show die before your eyes? That is what is happening all over the country when web cam stars of X-rated videos start dying on line. Most of the stars of these sex films take up the work to increase their income while they are trying to get through school or trying to get a role as an actress.
One person has set out to seek vengeance against a certain group of these women and has gone to great lengths to find out their real names and contact information.
Dr. Morgan Snow is a sex therapist for the Butterfield Institute in New York. She currently is counseling some students who have become addicted to these porn sites. She feels that some of the students are holding back important information from her that will help in their recovery but she cannot seem to reach them.
Detective Noah Jordain is with the New York City Police Department and is assigned to these murders. Noah and Morgan Snow have a personal relationship that doesn't always seem to be on solid ground.
Morgan is also in the midst of a crisis with her young daughter who is starring in a play but wants to devote more of her time to her acting.
When Noah gets leads that make him suspect one of Morgan's regular patients he fears for her safety but Morgan refuses to violate the doctor-patient relationship by sharing information with Noah.
The author weaves a story of horror, suspense and romance that will keep you guessing until the very end.
This book also makes the reader realize how the easy access to internet pornographic sites can damage individuals both young and old and have far reaching consequences for family and friends.
