BOOK REVIEW: DOT.DEAD
How did Ian Michaels, single, high-powered job with one of Silicon Valley's hottest tech firms suddenly find himself a suspect in a murder case? Simply by walking in his house and finding his maid dead in his bed.
Ian had never even met his maid. He had hired Gwendolyn Goldberg through a maid service. He gave his key to the service and Gwendolyn always cleaned when he was at work.
He pictures his maid as a grandmotherly person who left him homemade cookies. Can you imagine his shock when she turns out to be a very beautiful young woman?
As the police begin their investigation they find clues that indicate Ian knew Gwendolyn much better than he was admitting. The only person that seemed to believe him was Gwendolyn's sister Rowena.
Ian and Rowena work together to find the underlying cause of this mystery before Ian winds up behind bars for good. The investigation begins to bring doubts into his mind of people that he was so sure of before the murder.
A good book with a few twists. Looking forward to the next Keith Raffel.
