Prudence True Parker teaches a course called Advanced
Personal Journey at a community college in Arizona. Prudence
seems to have quite a few problems of her own. She is divorced
and loaded with debts.
On Saturdays, Prudence visits
her local library. One day she noticed an announcement that
stated Mildred Crowley, author of the Savage Passion romance series
would be there at 4 P.M.
Prudence and probably
everyone else assumed that Mildred was a woman. Guess
what? Mildred was a man and his real name was Digby
Deeds. He used the alias Mildred Crowley. Deeds knew he
was dying and he offered Prudence the final forty plots of his
popular series. Prudence could not believe it. This was
a dream come true and it would help with her financial
problems.
Prudence accepted the offer. However,
did she realize what she was in for?
Melissa Pritchard has
written a very entertaining book. At times it will make you
laugh at loud. At other times, it will make you feel sad for
the character. The book contains a cast of flaky
characters. If you haven't read any of Melissa Pritchard's
books, this is a great one to start with. However, be warned -
you will want to read the others also. This book has all the
ingredients to make it a great read - from the very serious moments
to the very funny ones. This book is highly
recommended.
