BOOK REVIEW: NIGHTLIFE: A NOVEL |
|
Dennis Poole, who is the cousin of underworld figure Hugo Poole, is found murdered. The police could not find much evidence except for a few strands of blonde hair. The hotel security cameras reveal a blonde woman entering and leaving the room. This let the police believe that the woman is also a murder victim.
Homicide detective Catherine Hobbes is determined to solve the case. In the meantime, Hugo Poole has hired a private detective, Joe Pitt, to find out who killed Dennis. Catherine and Joe work together and soon start to wonder if the blond is a victim or is she the murderer? Several other murders start to occur. Who is responsible?
Thomas Perry has created a thriller beyond our wildest dreams. There are plenty of twists in the plot and the author keeps the reader from figuring out exactly what will happen. The story moves back and forth at a fast pace. The author has created a masterful plot and will keep readers turning the pages. This book is highly recommended.
