This is a collection of several original stories that the author describes as "love stories…of a kind".
My favorite one is "Gus Hunts for a Job". This is probably my favorite because I am an animal lover but the story is really heart-warming. I don't want to spoil the story for anyone so I won't go into a great amount of detail but it is about the family's dog and what happens to him after the kids go off to college.
Another one I really liked is called "This Santa's for Hire" which involves children who find out there really is no Santa Claus. The children just do not want to hear these words. See what happens with the help of a babysitter.
This is a very entertaining read. The stories vary on several different topics and include great characters. You will find yourself laughing as you go along. Laura Pedersen has done an excellent job of putting this collection of stories together for all readers to enjoy. Some of them will probably seem familiar to you because at one time or another we have all gone through situations such as these. Laura Pedersen has the "knack" of adding a certain amount of humor to make the stories a delightful read. This book is highly recommended.
