BOOK REVIEW: THE BODY IN THE IVY |
Katherine Page Hall, Agatha Award winner, has recently released her 16th Faith Fairchild mystery novel. It is a grand homage to Agatha Christie's Ten Little Indians. Ms. Christie's considerable writing skills and reputation are the bulwark of modern day mysteries. Ms. Christie did not write whodunits and neither does Ms. Page.
Faith Fairchild is invited to cater a week of her fabulous means for alumnae of an Ivy league college. Unfortunately, Faith senses it is all pretense and that they have been invited under mysterious circumstances to probe a still unsolved murder from their college days.
Whether you are a Christie fan or someone (like me) who has read a book or two of the other Fairchild series or someone needing a good read, this book will meet your reading appetite. Speaking of appetites, look at some of the enticing recipes Ms. Hall has included in the back of the book. Oh that she had included them at the beginning of the book, so that the reader would have some excellent reading hors d'oeurves!
