BOOK REVIEW: SHOT GIRL
BY KAREN OLSON

We hope you enjoy this book review by Patricia Reid.

A party at a local club for one of Annie Seymourís coworkers winds up as a murder scene. Not only is Annie involved but also the victim is her ex-husband. Annie is pulled in for questioning by Detective Tom Behr, Annieís ex-boyfriend. It seems Tom found a gun in Annieís car and there were gunshots at the crime scene.

Annieís boss pulls her off of her crime beat until the murder of her ex-husband Ralph Seymour is solved. Dick Whitfield steps up to the plate to cover for Annie but this does not please Annie. She wants her place back on the crime beat and manages to keep involved even though she canít write about it.

Although gunshots were heard at the scene Ralph did not die from a gunshot wound.

Vinny DeLuca is still around and keeping company with Annie but even Vinny isnít in on all of her secrets in Shot Girl.

Annie keeps the reader entertained and constantly surprised. This is one novel where Annie keeps secrets that arenít revealed until the very end of the book. I did find out the definition of a shot girl plus a new method of committing murder.
