Robert
Moynihan offers an introduction to the life of the new Pope and a
collection of his most moving words.
Cardinal Joseph
Ratzinger was a trusted confidante of Pope John Paul II. Even
though he was a familiar church leader not many are aware of his
spiritual teachings.
This book is divided into three
sections: The Man and His Life which gives us an insight into
his life and family; The Spiritual Vision of Benedict XVI which
includes his thoughts on several topics such as "God", "The Holy
Spirit", "Mary", and "Morality" just to name a few; and The
Pontificate of Benedict XVI which includes "First Words As Pope",
"First Message to the World" and "First Homily As Pope".
This
book is an excellent source to introduce one to the new Pope.
After reading this book, the reader will go away with a greater
understanding of the new Pope's spiritual teachings and
thoughts. The book is written in a manner that is easy for the
reader to understand. This book is an excellent summary of the
new Pope's vision for the world. Be sure to add this to your
reading list.
