BOOK REVIEW: SIX SECONDS
BY RICK MOFINA

We hope you enjoy this book review by Patricia Reid.

Terrifying incidents that happen in different parts of the world work their way together as in a jigsaw puzzle to bring you a story that you wonít soon forget.

Maggie Conlan is trying to cope with her husbandís moods since he has returned from Iraq. She finds out just how much he has changed when she goes to pick up her son at school and learns that his father has taken him from school. Maggie sets out determined to find her son but he seems to have disappeared into thin air.

In Canada Daniel Graham, a corporal in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police is alone, mourning the loss of his wife in a car accident. Suddenly he is drawn into a search for a family who has had a boating accident. Graham tries to rescue the young girl in the family whose body has washed up. Her words to Graham set him on a quest that will cover many miles. He is questioned along the way, not only by his superiors, but also by his own thoughts but he keeps moving forward.

There is an international plot in the works but exactly what it is and how it will develop is not known for sure. The only thing known is that it has to do with the visit the Pope is making to the United States.

This is a very exciting book and the characters are so real I felt I wanted to reach out and touch them or at least offer words of encouragement. Donít miss this one.

Six Seconds is just one of several books Rick Mofina has written. Iíve liked all the ones Iíve read but Six Seconds tops the list.
