Joyce Meyer has struggled through a very difficult period of her life. She was sexually abused for the first twenty-five years. Today, when you hear her speak, it is hard to believe what she has been through. She appears as a very "Confident Woman".

Joyce defines confidence as "being positive concerning what you can do-and not worrying over what you can't do". She explains that true confidence is faith in Christ and comes from being open to learning.

This book is divided into two sections. Part I is titled "The God-Ordained Gift of Confidence". These chapters deal with how women are treated in many parts of the world and the role of women in ministry. The author also lists the seven secrets of a confident woman with a detailed explanation of each one. Part II of the book is titled "The Anatomy of Fear". Joyce Meyer states that fear plays a big part in holding back on a person's confidence. Fear prevents progress. It causes people to hold back and be timid.

Joyce Meyer has written many books on different subjects and this book is another well-written addition by this author. If you have read any of her books, you know that they are written in a manner that is easy to understand. She does a wonderful job of making an analysis of several of the proverbs involving woman. After you read this book, you will want to go back and read more titles written by Joyce Meyer. One thing about Joyce is she takes a topic and gets right to the point with her expertise in the area. This book is highly recommended.
