Bebe Kent moved to a retirement center. It was not just your ordinary place for seniors but one where most well to do people moved. Bebe was also very lonely and decided to join a dating service. Would she be able to find Mr. Right? All she wanted was someone to keep her company.

Things didn't go as Bebe planned. Bebe was found dead. Bebe's best friend Cissy and her daughter Andrea attended the funeral. Andrea was not too keen on going to funerals but could not say no to her mother's pleas.

Cissy and Andrea could not believe that Bebe just died all of a sudden. She looked great the night before. They decided to ask some questions of Annabelle who owns the retirement center. Annabelle told them that when Bebe did not show up for her water aerobics class on Thursday, she tried calling but got Bebe's voice mail. Annabelle stated that she did not think too much of this because Bebe was a busy woman but when she didn't show up for lunch, she began to get concerned. One of Bebe's favorite salads was being served that day and something just didn't seem right. Annabelle stated that the housekeeper found Bebe dead in bed and they figured it happened in her sleep because she didn't press the panic button. The doctor concluded that Bebe died of natural causes - cardiac arrest.

Cissy and Andrea wondered why Cissy was buried so fast. She died on Thursday and was buried on Friday. Annabelle stated that this was the wish of Bebe as per her instructions.

One thing was not right - Annabelle stated that when Bebe was found in the bed she had on a nightgown. Why is this strange? Bebe told Cissy that she always slept in the nude!

Cissy begins to investigate for clues when another resident of the retirement center dies who also happens to be her friend. Andrea decides to help her mom before she gets in too deep.

What do Cissy and Andrea discover in their search for clues as to what happened?

This is an excellent amateur sleuth mystery. Susan McBride has incorporated a good deal of humor along with a story that has many twists. The plot is believable and makes for an interesting read. Be sure to add this one to your reading list because you will be in for an interesting, entertaining treat.
