BOOK REVIEW: SOLOMON VS. LORD BY
Steve Solomon is a sharp lawyer. Victoria Lord graduated from Yale. Due to their constant bickering in court, the judge ordered them to be placed in the holding cell. While there, it gave the two of them "sort of" a chance to get to know each other a little better.
Steve, who had a reputation with women, noticed Victoria was very attractive. The one thing Victoria envied about Steve was how confident he appeared.
When Katrina's husband died, the police charged her with his murder because they believed she strangled him. Her husband was a very wealthy man. Solomon happened to pull a "shrewdy" on Victoria. She had mentioned to him that she was going to represent Katrina. Solomon beat Victoria to Katrina's house and introduced himself as Victoria's partner and convinced Katrina that she needed his experience in order to win her case. This left Victoria with little choice. She desperately needs the money so agrees to work with Steven on the case.
Steve also has another weapon to try and draw Victoria's attention. He is caring for his nephew who was physically abused by his mother. Victoria developed a soft spot for the nephew.
Victoria is engaged to another man but she is starting to develop some feelings for Steve.
What happens between these two?
This book is a hilarious legal thriller. You will just love the characters of Victoria and Steve. Even though they are opposites, their characters contribute to making this book a very worthwhile read. You will also enjoy Victoria's little snide remarks about Steve. Steve, however, manages to come back at her again and again. Do yourself a favor. Get a copy of this book, sit down and relax and get ready to have a very entertaining time. The author has written a book that will keep you interested and is sure to give you several laughs along the way!
