THE MARSHLAND MYSTERY - KATHRYN KENNY
                     TRIXIE BELDEN #10

Trixie, her best friend Honey, and their brothers are members of the B.W.G (the Bob-Whites of the Glen).  The club was designed not only for fun but also for "brothers and sisters helping each other".

It all started when one of the students in botany class tripped over his own feet while carrying Miss Bennett's book of pressed herbs to the cabinet.  Everything spilled all over and got mixed up.  Trixie thought Miss Bennett was going to cry and she really felt sorry for her.  Trixie came up with the idea to help get new herbs to replace the mess caused by the student.

Trixie and her friends planned to go to the abandoned Martin's Marsh to collect herbs and flowers.  They would enlist the help of Brian who wanted to become a doctor.  Surely he would know an herb from a weed!

There seems to be one problem.  Honey's family has a visitor.  How can Trixie explore the mysterious burned-out house by the marsh and look for Captain Kidd's hidden pirate treasure with a kid along?

Trixie admits this mystery might be too much for her to handle alone.  Will Trixie and her friends solve the case?

Reading this book really brought back some memories.  I can remember when I was a young adult and read several of these types of mystery books.  You just couldn't wait for the next one to be released.  Young adult readers will enjoy this book.  It is interesting and suspenseful.  Parents beware - if you start to preview this book first, you will be hooked.  So take some time because you will want to read the entire book!  This is a great one for young adult readers. (Parents will enjoy it too!).
