BOOK REVIEW:DARK ROOM
BY ANDREA KANE

We hope you enjoy this book review by Patricia Reid.

Morgan Winter has spent years trying to conquer her nightmares. Now Pete Montgomery, former police officer and currently a Private Investigator brings her news that can only plunge her deeper into her nightmares.

Morgan was ten-years old when her parents were brutally murdered. Morgan discovered the bodies. Pete Montgomery was a police officer and on the murder scene. He recognized how traumatized Morgan was and comforted her. Now he brings her news that will shatter her current world. It has been discovered that the man convicted of the two murders could not have killed Morganís parents Jack and Lara Winter This means that the murder is still out there somewhere.

Morgan hires Pete Montgomery to dig back into this cold case and to find her parents killer. Congressman Arthur Shore and his wife Elyse have been foster parents to Morgan since the death of her parents. Jill Shore, Arthur and Elyseís daughter, has been like a sister to Morgan. Jill and Morgan live together and are partners in a business. Congressman Shore lends his power to get the District Attorney to reopen the case.

Pete convinces his son Lane, a photojournalist, to help him in the investigation. Once Lane meets Morgan it doesnít take a lot of convincing. He is immediately attracted to her and wants to do everything he can to help. As Pete and Lane delve into the dark past and the events surrounding Jack and Lara Winter at the time of their deaths, the present becomes a dangerous place for Morgan. This is a very exciting story and I did not want to quit reading until all the secrets were out in the open.
