Snakehead is the seventh installment in "The #1 New York Times Bestselling Series". Get ready for an exciting adventure with Great Britain's most popular spy-Alex Rider! We join him after his returning back to Earth from outer space in which he destroys a madman's space hotel (Ark Angel). Alex is taken in by the Australian Secret Service and he is detained because he doesn't have a visa, of all things! When he meets the Covert Operations head, he learns that he will be free to go after a few weeks, or he can help them infiltrate one of the world's toughest gangs-Snakeheads. Alex doesn't want to have anything to do with the world of espionage anymore. That is, until he learns that he'll be working with the godfather he never knew about. Apparently, this godfather was the last to see his parents alive-Ash (the agent's name) was actually at the airport with them!

After meeting up with Ash, we go through many close calls and surprises. Snakehead is connected to Scorpia and Alex is ready to bring them down-they used him, shot him, and they ready to take another shot at Alex. The time to let this all happen is past for Alex, he's ready to fight back and that's exactly what he does. We learn more about Alex and his parents. People aren't always the way they seem and human greed will destroy us all in the end. If you're ready for a page-turner that'll leave you reluctant to end then this is the book for you-Anthony Horowitz will take you on an amazing adventure in his latest installment to his Alex Rider series.
