BOOK REVIEW: DANGER IN THE SHADOWS
Sara Walsh is living a life full of fear. As a child, she and her twin sister were abducted and held hostage for nine days. Sara's sister was killed. Sara is in the witness protection program due to the fact that the killer was not caught. Sara has managed to block out the killer's face.
Sara is working as a children's author. One night, as she about to leave work, she got on the elevator. A man was also on the elevator. The elevator got stuck and Sara really panicked. The man on the elevator was Adam Black, a retired sports figure. Adam soon realized that Sara is someone he wanted to help and a person he would like to keep in his life.
Sara did not want to form close relationships because of the problems in her life. Adam was a very high profile person and this made it even more difficult. Now Adam would be in danger also.
What happens when the abductor comes looking for Sara? Will she have the courage to face her fears?
Once I started to read this book, I found it very difficult to put down. The story engrosses the reader from the very first page and continues throughout the book. The suspense builds as the book goes on. The author has done a wonderful job of weaving many Bible versus throughout the book as Sara depends on God to help with her fears. Dee Henderson also does an excellent job of making the reader feel Sara's fear as she tries to go on with her daily life. This is one that I highly recommend. If you like stories with suspense, this is the one for you.
