Joseph Blackwood, who recently separated from his wife, and daughter Robin plan a vacation and rent an old fisherman's house in Barneed. Upon their arrival, the town looks perfect. This is a chance for he and his little girl to get away from everything and spend some time together.

Even though the town seems picturesque, there are many secrets. Strange things begin to happen and Joseph and Robin are terrified. Some of the people in the village are having breathing difficulties; however, a physical cause cannot be found. Some of the people are acting very aggressive. The sea is giving back bodies that once drowned. The strange thing is the bodies look like they are in perfect condition even though some have been dead for years. These are just a few of the strange occurrences that are starting to happen.

What happens to Robin during her visit to this town?

The reader will feel like they are in the middle of a Stephen King novel. However, this is not all about something that is totally frightful. There is a great deal of smooth tranquility involved also. This book is filled with remarkable characters that will stay with you long after you finish reading the book. The author also does an excellent job of interjecting the regional dialect throughout the book. This book is unique and one that will make you do some thinking. In order to write a novel like this, the author has to be one creative person! This is one you don't want to pass on. Be sure to add it to your reading list.
