BOOK REVIEW:
SET SAIL FOR MURDER
BY CAROLYN HART

We hope you enjoy this book review by Caryn St. Clair.

Fans of Hart's Henrie O'Dwyer Collins rejoice! A former newspaper reporter, who seems to get involved in more that her share of murders, Henrie O is back for another case in Set Sail for Murder.

Henrie turned down Jimmy Lennox's marriage proposal and now Jimmy has married the flashy Sophia Montgomery. Sophia inherited a sizable fortune from her previous husband, Frank Riordan. Unfortunately, she also inherited a number of step children as well as Frank's other oddball family members. And Frank left Sophia in charge of their trust funds. Not surprisingly, when Sophia remarried, several amongst them would like for Sophia to break the trust and give them their share of Frank's money. According to Frank's will, she has the power to do just that-or not. After Sophia suffered two suspicious accidents, Jimmy is afraid Sophia won't live long enough to make the decision. When Sophia convinces everyone to go on a cruise together and promises to discuss the trust with them then, Jimmy writes to Henrie O and asks her to accompany them on the cruise. Hopefully Henrie will be able to figure out who is behind the accidents before Sophia is killed!

While this book is set up on an improbable scenario, the book is still entertaining from a couple of perspectives. First, for Henrie O fans, it's nice to have her back. Second, the book takes readers on a very interesting cruise from Copenhagen to St. Petersburg with a couple of interesting stops in between. When the ship is in port, the story takes on a near travelogue quality. This helps make up for the rather transparent mystery in this book. While this is not one of the stronger entries into the series, fans of Henrie will be happy to visit with her again.
