BOOK REVIEW: THE DARK TIDE
Could you be married to a man for many years and not really know him? Could your marriage be a lie?
This is exactly how Karen Friedman feels but she needs to find out the truth no matter how much it might hurt.
Chares Friedman is on his way to work. He usually drives but the car is due to be serviced. There is an explosion at Grand Central Station and Charles is presumed dead. Karen did not want to believe Charles was dead at first. She just knew that he would return home. Several days later, Karen finally accepts the fact that her husband is dead.
There is a hit and run accident in Karenís town that leaves a young man dead. Ty Hauck, a detective, finds a clue that connects the two cases.
Then comes the surprise of Karenís life. Two men show up at her door searching into Charlesí business dealings. It seems that $250 million dollars is missing and it points to Charles.
With Tyís help, Karen starts to search for the truth. Is Charles still alive? There were many, many questions going through her mind. She needed answers.
What does Karen discover?
Wow! The Dark Tide is such a great thriller to read. I just found myself glued to the pages to find out what happens next. As the story goes on, you will find yourself really drawn into how Karen must really feel to find out something like this after being married for so many years. How could she have missed it? Were there clues now that she looks back? This is a compelling read and one that will remain with you for some time. This novel is one that is loaded with suspense, full of intriguing characters and a plot that will keep you on the edge of your seat. You might recognize the name of Andrew Gross because he co-wrote many books with James Patterson. Let there be no doubt, Andrew Gross is a very talented writer who can go at it alone and be right up there with the very best. You will also enjoy the cover of this book. It is quite interesting. Be sure to add The Dark Tide to your reading list list. You will be glad you did!
