What really happened behind the doors of a house in Fresno, California where Marcus Wesson, his wife, children, nieces and grandchildren lived? To know what really happened at this home is something that is unforgivable and sickening to any normal human being.

Marc Wesson created what some might call a “cult” within his own family. His wife and children obeyed his demands because they did not know any better. He home schooled the children and did not want them to have contact with anyone on the outside. He believed the Bible approved of incest and fathered children with two of his daughters and three of his nieces.

On March 12, 2004, gunshots were heard from within the Wesson home. Police thought they were responding to a routine domestic case and could not believe what they saw when they entered the home.

This is a true story that involves incest and abuse and shows how a powerful man can take control over the lives of those closest to him to the point where the family members were brainwashed about everything else going on around them. Monte Frances does an excellent job of bringing this story to the reader while shedding light on every little detail possible. It is difficult to believe that something like this could happen right within your own neighborhood but the author shows us that it is possible. You will be taken through the dramatic legal proceedings and the author will make you feel like you are sitting right in the courtroom. The book includes several pictures of the Wesson family. I wouldn’t recommend this book to the people who consider themselves very “squeamish” when they read about incest and child abuse but if you can get through that part of it this book is an excellent read that entails a very thorough story about the Wesson family and what really happened. It is very obvious that Monte Francis has done much research for this book.
