BOOK REVIEW: THE FLAMING LUAU OF DEATH
Madeline Bean and her partner, Wes, are event planners to the stars. However, this time they are planning something quite different. One of their employees, Holly, is getting married in a couple of weeks to Donald Lake. Their plan is to have a party for Holly in Hawaii.
Holly received an e-mail and took it to Maddie because she was good at getting to the "bottom of things". The email had a subject line that read "Ugly Trouble Coming". It went on to state that Holly's husband, Marvin, would not be able to hide forever. Maddie was sure the e-mail was not meant for Holly since she was getting married to a man named Donald. Holly informed Maddie that she thinks she got married when she was eighteen to a guy named Marvin. After the prom they went to Vegas. She really wasn't sure what happened after that!
Well, things begin to get very interesting when an island murder occurs. Maddie, on the other hand, is not going to let all of this ruin her great party.
Is Holly really married? Is Maddie able to help Holly straighten out this mess?
The author, Jerrilyn Farmer, has written an entertaining amateur sleuth novel. This is one the reader will thoroughly enjoy. Holly is a fun character who ads humor to the story. Maddie comes across as someone who is determined to find out the truth even though she still plans to have some fun doing the job. Be sure to add this book to your reading list. It is a great combination of suspense and humor!
