BOOK REVIEW: THE JURY MASTER |
|
If you were ever on trial, the person you would want representing you
would
be David Sloane.
David Sloane has a special knack. He is an expert at reading a jury.
He
can read their expressions and as a result he knows what they are
thinking.
Because of this special ability, David Sloane has won several cases in
a
row. He can make a jury believe almost anything.
Everything seems to be going just fine for Sloane until one day he
receives
a call from Joe Branick, a friend of the President of the United
States.
Just moments after the call, Branick commits suicide. It doesn’t take
long
for Sloan’s life to begin to fall apart.
Not long after Branick’s death, Sloan receives a package from Branick.
The
package contains some very deep secrets that could change many lives if
they
were exposed.
Sloane soon finds his life turned upside down. His apartment is
ransacked
but nothing is taken. The one thing he knows for certain is he must
find
out more about Branick. David Sloane also has some hidden secrets in
his
past. Could they somehow be related to what is taking place?
This is Robert Dugoni’s debut novel and it is a real thriller. This is
not
a boring novel about the inside of a courtroom. It is a story that
takes
the reader on an exhilarating ride as David Sloane tries to get back
his
life. The plot is interesting and the book is filled with a great cast
of
characters who are sure to capture your interest. Be sure to add this one to your
reading
list. It is highly recommended.
