BOOK REVIEW: DAMAGE CONTROL
Damage Control starts with the murder of an elderly doctor. The reader will be kept in suspense about this murder through most of the book.
Dana Hill is an attorney at a prestigious law firm. All of a sudden, it seems like her world is falling apart. Dana found a small lump in her breast while showering and after undergoing tests was diagnosed with cancer. This news was devastating. Dana finds out that her husband is having an affair. He is also a lawyer but Dana is more successful. Then she gets a phone call informing her that her twin brother has been murdered.
Detective Michael Logan believes that what happened to Dana's brother was just a robbery that went wrong. He believed that her brother just happened to come home at the wrong time. However, Dana wants answers as to who killed her brother and why. Dana discovers an earring at her brother's home and she is sure this has some connection to her brother's death. Who does the earring belong to? Did this person murder her brother? Her search for the killer leads her to some interesting places and more deaths follow.
Will Dana find out who murdered her brother?
This book is an engrossing read. If you read The Jury Master you are well aware that Robert Dugoni is an excellent writer who really knows how to tell a story. This book is even better than the Jury Master. Damage Control has a fast moving plot that will keep the reader guessing throughout and the well-drawn characters play a major role in making this book such a great read. Be sure to add this one to your reading list. I highly recommend it.
