Lydia
Jane; Link and Ursula; Lydia and Jonah; Link and Lydia; Lydia and
Ursula, titles to the different parts of the book each representing
a different phase in the lives of a mother, father and
daughter.
John Link is a former Hell's Angel who's past
experiences includes drugs, alcohol and imprisonment. He now has a
sponsor, is trying to run a tattoo parlor, attend meetings and stay
out of trouble.
Ursula is the mother of Link's daughter
Lydia. Ursula moved swiftly ahead with her life after Lydia's birth.
Ursula's goals and ambitions did not include an ex-con and she
doesn't show a lot of enthusiasm for a confused daughter. She
married more than once and tried to take care of Lydia in her own
way but Lydia soon decided to run away.
Lydia hooks up with
Jonah and that is her real downfall. She winds up in more trouble
than anyone can imagine. Her last hope is to contact her
father.
Link comes to Lydia's rescue and tries his best to
protect her and get her headed back towards a straight life with a
good future.
This book is violent, sad and funny all at the
same time. Your heart goes out to both Link and Lydia as they try to
find their way back to a father-daughter relationship. I think this
is a wonderful book and would highly recommend it
