When he was a young man named Michael Sullivan Jr., he worked with his father against the Chicago mob.
Michael Sullivan changed his name to Michael Satariano and is now middle aged and living in Lake Tahoe. He is living a good life - has a living wife, a talented daughter and a son who is earning medals in Vietnam. Michael is now running a casino for the mob. It is done in such a way that everything appears to be on the up and up.
Michael believes his killing days are gone forever. However, his biggest nightmare is about to happen. His godfather, Sam Giancana orders him to commit a hit on a violent gangster. Michael does not want to cooperate and refuses to do the job.
Apparently, Sam found someone else to do the job. The bad part is that Michael is framed for the murder. In order to save his family, Michael turns state witness and becomes part of the Witness Protection Program.
Michael had no idea what was waiting for him as he takes one more trip down the road of the past. What happens to Michael and his family?
This is the third and final book of "The Road" series. After reading this final book of the series, fans will wish the author would write another one. The book is full of action and fast paced. The reader will be captured from the very first page and find it hard to let go of this thrilling novel. If you want a book that is loaded with action, has a great plot and holds your attention, be sure to add this one to your reading list. This one is highly recommended.
