CITY OF BONES

It all started on a regular, standard night in the suburbs of New York City for our main characters. Clary and her best friend Simon are going to Clary's favorite place to party: Pandemonium. Clary is thrust into a completely new and alien world when she witnesses a murder. But the body is gone and the murderers have disappeared. This totally awesome book was about discovering things that people would rather not know and how the characters deal with those facts. Clary, Simon, and Jace (one of the murderers) are pretty much typical teenagers that I could totally relate to. This book was about how Clary finds out something about herself and how she has been deceived for years-by her own mother. Then, she discovers how her mother has taken something and hidden it so well her father (supposedly dead) would never be able to find it.

Clary, Simon, and Jace must face some pretty interesting things together- a love triangle, vampires, some potent magic, and the mystical and dangerous world of the Shadowhunters--not to mention trying to find that terribly important treasure Shadowhunters have been looking about 15 years for.

This is the first of a series that I am practically dying to finish.
