BOOK REVIEW: |
The spy who couldn't sleep, Evan Tanner, is back with a fury. In this episode of the continuing series, Tanner is put on ice in a basement in New Jersey by a foreign agent who is a pro at cryogenics. In Evan Tanner, Block has created a humorous spy "who has come in from the cold," quite literally.
In this case, Tanner is found and unfreezes from his solid ice state. He is now inhabiting a world he does not know. Gradually, he acclimates himself to the new world he is faced with.
Lawrence Block creates many entertaining moments in this book. But, he strives to make it a full-bodied tale. Whether or not he is successful, is up to you, the reader!
