WHAT MATTERS MOST:  TEN LESSONS IN LIVING PASSIONATELY FROM THE SONG OF SOLOMON -
                               RENITA J. WEEMS

As part of the introduction to this book, it states that Renita Weems examines the complex figure at the center of the Bible's famous Song of Solomon to reveal how all women can live their true, God-given passions to the fullest.

Dr. Weems lists ten lessons in living passionately from the Song of Solomon.  They are titled:  The Self, Identity, Truth, Balance, Choices, Inner Wisdom, Danger, Your Body, Sacrifice and Sex and Love.  As a result of these ten lessons, she feels we should learn the following:

*Discover how your deepest desires lead to a greater intimacy with God.
*Understand why romantic love and personal fulfillment must go hand in hand
     for a balanced life
*Use your passions to make the right choices and surmount the most formidable
     obstacles
*Confront your fears in ways that reinforce and nourish your strengths.
*Learn to be who God wants you to be no matter what others expect.

This is an interesting and easy book to read.  At the beginning of each chapter such as "The Self" Dr. Weems has an introductory sentence i.e. "I have a suspicion there must be more to me than I even know."  She then goes into several pages of detail to explain exactly what she means by this sentence.  At the end of each chapter is a section on "reflections" of what you just read.  It is here that she gives you a list of questions to ponder.  After reading this book, you will start to ask yourself many questions.  Most of all, it will really make you think!
