BOOK REVIEW

THREE WEEKS WITH MY BROTHER - NICHOLAS SPARKS & MICAH SPARKS

This book is about the family of author, Nicholas Sparks and his close relationship with his brother, Micah.

Nicholas received a brochure in the mail from the alumni office at the University of Notre Dame.  The brochure was an advertisement for a three week tour around the world called "Heaven and Earth".  He asked his wife if she would like to go but this was not possible because of the children.  Nick told his wife that he would like to go on the tour and would ask his brother, Micah to join him.

Micah agreed to go on the trip and he began to feel more and more excited about it.  However, as the departure date was getting closer, Nicholas was having second thoughts about leaving the family and his work.

As the two brothers were traveling around the world, the book covers many events in their lives from the time they were young up to the present.  These events included many happy and sad times for the two of them including the early deaths of their parents and younger sister.  The one thing that made this trip so special was the fact that these two were now the only surviving members of their family.

This is a heartwarming, moving story of two brothers who have been through it all.  Nicholas Sparks is a talented writer who makes you feel as though you are right there in the middle of the story.  Nicholas says it all when asked by people why he and his brother are so close.  His answer is "It's the way it should be."  What makes this book so special is that it is so wonderful to see two brothers express their love to each other while they are both still alive.  This is one you will want to add to your reading list.  You will thoroughly enjoy it!
