This
book consists of a collection of 22 essays about the author's
life. Some are about his professional life. However,
many of the essays are about his family life. Some of the
essays relate to the author's earlier times as a child and others
are about his adult life. Some of the essays are humorous
while others are very serious. You might even consider some of
them a little "weird". Most of the essays are very
short. I won't go into details about the essays for fear of
giving too much away. These you should read yourself.
If you are not familiar with David Sedaris, this book
is a good place to begin. His writing is unique. You
will laugh at the author's wit. He is able to take simple
happenings in his life and turn them into essays that are very
interesting and different to read.
If you are looking
for something a little different to read this summer, this is the
book! You should add this one to your reading list.
These essays are anything but boring!
