THE OLDER THE FIDDLE, THE BETTER THE TUNE:THE JOYS OF REACHING A CERTAIN AGE - WILLARD SCOTT

Willard Scott is the weatherman on the Today show and has been there since 1980.  He is also the host of Willard Scott's Home and GardenAlmanac on Home and Garden Television. Willard Scott indicates that the two best times in his life have been childhood and getting older.  This book is a collection of what many older individuals have to say about the joys of reaching a certain age.

The collection includes ideas on getting older from people like Hugh Downs, Phyllis Diller, Art Linkletter, Bob Hope, Ed Asner, Yogi Berra, Monty Hall, Edward Koch and many more.  Willard Scott explains it very well when he states that getting older is great for many reasons: You have more wisdom, memories, experience, free time, a gentler-paced life and grandchildren.

This book is a delight to read.  It is very interesting to see what people have to say about aging.  Some of the answers will surprise you; others will make you laugh.  This is a great book to read when you want to relax around the house or in the backyard hammock.  You will enjoy it!
