OUR LATIN TABLE - FERNANDO SARALEGUI

As in many ethnic traditions, it was the family holiday dinners that kept the family together.

Fernando Saralegui, a Cuban-American restaurateur, writes this book.  The book includes his family history, recipes and photographs.  He also gives us a list of what to include in a Latin pantry in order to be able to cook with Latin flavor.  Saralegui includes a glossary of terms and techniques to help explain some items you might not be familiar with.  He also tells us what equipment is needed for a Cuban bar.  Saralegui offers several recipes covering many occasions from Christmas and New Year's Eve to a softball mixed grill picnic.

All of us enjoy our family traditions and this book is the story of one man sharing his family traditions with us.  You will enjoy reading about this ethnic group and how they celebrated the holidays and other special occasions.  If you are looking to try some different recipes, the ones included in this book sound absolutely delicious!
