This book contains recipes for more than 400 new American classics.  The sections of the book contain recipes for Ethnic America - Italian, Greek and Turkish, Spanish, French, Mittle European, Jewish, Russian, Scandinavian, Mexican, Central and South America, Cuban and Caribbean, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Southeast Asian, Indian, Middle Eastern and Moroccan food.  In this section you will find recipes for such great items as linguine with white clam sauce, Hungarian beef goulash and wiener schnitzel.

The next section contains recipes for regional America food such as New England, New York, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Dutch, Chesapeake Bay, Low Country, Dixie, Florida, Cajun, Texas, Midwest, Southwest, California and Hawaii.  It is here that you will find a recipe for the delicious New York Cheesecake and the great Philly Cheesesteak. 

The last section contains Classic America recipes such as appetizers, salads, sandwiches, hearty main courses, breads and desserts just to name a few.  In this section you will find recipes for items like cinnamon rolls, chicken pot pie and scalloped potatoes with ham.

This is an excellent book of recipes.  If you are looking for something simple to cook or something that might fall into the "gourmet" category, you will find it here.  The recipes are listed in simple terms and are easy to follow.  This is a wonderful cookbook for anyone whether you are just learning to cook or even if you have been cooking for many years.  Just looking through the recipes will make you work up an appetite!
