PLAY BALL THE RIPKEN WAY - CAL RIPKEN, JR., BILL RIPKEN AND LARRY BURKE

Cal Ripken, Jr. and Bill Ripken have written a book that is the ultimate guideline for any young player who wants to get involved in baseball.  The book is based on the teachings of their father, Cal Ripken, Sr. who was a player, coach, manager and scout.

The Ripken Way consists of the following principles:

                                          Keep it Simple
                                          Explain Why
                                          Celebrate the Individual
                                          Make It Fun

The book consists of nine chapters on subjects such as catching, pitching, batting, the infield, the outfield, and the mound.  Along with detailed descriptions of the proper way to play the sport there are numerous photos to illustrate exactly what they are talking about. The book is also filled with many sidebar tips from Cal and Bill.

Cal and Bill Ripken are co-owners of Ripken Baseball and their mission is to grow the game of baseball worldwide.

This is an excellent book for any young player who wants to learn some serious things about the game of baseball.  You  will feel like you have your own teacher right there giving you the lessons.  What great teachers to have - the Ripken brothers.  You can't get much better than that!   The book is well organized and you can see that the authors love this sport.  Any sports fan will enjoy this book by two of the all-time greatest baseball players in our history.  This is also a great book for parents and coaches.  It is a "must read" book for anyone who likes baseball.
