BOOK REVIEW

THE RESURRECTION MEN - IAN RANKIN

Rebus is sent to the Scottish Police College after having an argument with his superior.
A group of men, called the Resurrection Men, are at the college for retraining.  They have one last chance to save their careers.  All have an inability to deal with authority.

As part of their retraining the Resurrection Men have been given an old case to investigate.  They were given the case of Eric Lomax, a crook who was beaten to death in 1995.  The purpose of this investigation was for them to work as a team and go back to look at the case to see if there was something missed the first time.  However, some of the Resurrection Men have secrets pertaining to this case, including Rebus.  Will their secrets come back to haunt them?

This is the 13th Rebus novel and has to be one of the best.  The book is well written with strong characters.  The plot keeps you very interested and it flows very smoothly.  If you are not familiar with the Rebus novels, now is the time to start.  This is a great Rebus novel to begin with.  It is a fun book to read!
