Several years ago, Lt. Lou Boldt's wife, Liz, had an affair
with a computer specialist who worked with her at the bank.
The man, David Hayes, was later convicted of embezzling 17 million
dollars and sent to jail. The money was not
recovered.
In the meantime, Lt. Boldt and his wife worked out
their marriage problems and were just starting to get things back to
normal.
Much to the surprise of Liz, she receives a phone
call from David one day asking her to help him gain access to the
bank's computers so he can give the money back to the Russian
mob. David was recently released from prison.
What
should Liz do? She wants to save her marriage and at the same
time protect the bank. Should she tell her husband everything
and reopen all the hurt they have been able to heal?
Ridley
Pearson has written a real thriller. This is a great police
procedural book and at the same time it looks at the personal
aspects of a marriage in trouble. This is a real page-turner -
be prepared to stay up late. Ridley Pearson is a creative,
talented writer. Be sure to add this one to your reading
list!
